Hearty Black Beans

A delicious and hearty dish made with black beans, turkey bacon, and chicken ham that provides a fulfilling meal option.

  • 1 cup black beans
  • 4 slices turkey bacon
  • 1 cup diced chicken ham
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
  2. Add the turkey bacon and cook until crispy. Remove from pot and chop into pieces.
  3. In the same pot, add the onions and garlic, sauté until translucent.
  4. Add the diced chicken ham, black beans, cumin, smoked paprika, and chicken broth.
  5. Bring to a simmer and let cook for about 20 minutes.
  6. Add the chopped turkey bacon back into the pot, stir, and season with salt and pepper.
