  • ½ cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the milk and vanilla extract.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet, mixing until just combined.
  6. In a separate bowl, mix the brown sugar and cinnamon to create the crumb topping.
  7. Fill muffin cups halfway with batter, add a spoonful of crumb topping, and top with remaining batter and more crumb topping.
  8. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  9. Allow to cool before serving.
