These Tiramisu Brownies combine the rich flavors of coffee and chocolate, delivering a deeply satisfying dessert that’s perfect for any espresso lover.

  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup strong espresso
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup mascarpone cheese
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, cocoa powder, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the melted butter, eggs, vanilla extract, and espresso.
  4. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
  5. Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  7. While the brownies are baking, prepare the mascarpone layer by whipping together mascarpone cheese, heavy cream, and powdered sugar until smooth.
  8. Once the brownies are cooled, spread the mascarpone mixture over the top.
  9. Dust with cocoa powder before slicing into squares.

Notes

  • For a stronger coffee flavor, use dark roast espresso.
  • These brownies can be served chilled or at room temperature.
