- 1 box devil’s food cake mix
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 1 cup diced strawberries
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 cup shredded coconut
- 1 cup chopped nuts (optional)
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, mix the cake mix, eggs, water, and oil until well combined.
- Fold in the diced strawberries and set aside.
- In another bowl, blend the cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth.
- Grease a cake pan and pour half of the cake batter in.
- Spoon dollops of the cream cheese mixture over the batter, then pour the remaining batter on top.
- Sprinkle the coconut and nuts on top.
- Bake for 40-45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Let cool before serving.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, add further crushed strawberries on top before serving.
