Strawberry Earthquake Cake

A deliciously rich and decadent dessert that brings the flavors of strawberries and creamy goodness together.

  • 1 box devil’s food cake mix
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup diced strawberries
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 cup shredded coconut
  • 1 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix the cake mix, eggs, water, and oil until well combined.
  3. Fold in the diced strawberries and set aside.
  4. In another bowl, blend the cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth.
  5. Grease a cake pan and pour half of the cake batter in.
  6. Spoon dollops of the cream cheese mixture over the batter, then pour the remaining batter on top.
  7. Sprinkle the coconut and nuts on top.
  8. Bake for 40-45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  9. Let cool before serving.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, add further crushed strawberries on top before serving.
  • Consider using a different flavored cake mix for a unique twist.
