Spicy Corn Carbonara

A deliciously creamy pasta dish with a spicy kick, featuring corn and turkey bacon for a healthier twist on traditional carbonara.

  • 8 ounces spaghetti
  • 4 slices turkey bacon
  • 1 cup fresh corn kernels
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Cook spaghetti according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, cook turkey bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove and chop.
  3. In the same skillet, add corn and sauté for 5 minutes.
  4. In a bowl, whisk together eggs, cream, Parmesan cheese, garlic, and red pepper flakes.
  5. Add the spaghetti to the skillet, then pour the egg mixture over it, tossing quickly to coat.
  6. Stir in turkey bacon and season with salt and pepper.
  7. Serve hot, garnished with parsley.

Notes

  • Feel free to add more spices if you want it spicier.
  • You can substitute the turkey bacon with regular bacon for a richer flavor.
