Spicy Corn Carbonara

A delicious and unique variation of carbonara bringing the sweetness of corn and the savory flavor of turkey bacon.

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces spaghetti
  • 1 cup sweet corn, fresh or frozen
  • 4 slices turkey bacon
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente.
  2. In a skillet, cook turkey bacon until crispy. Remove and crumble.
  3. In the same skillet, add garlic and corn, sauté for a few minutes.
  4. Whisk together eggs and Parmesan cheese in a bowl.
  5. Drain pasta and immediately mix with the corn and garlic. Remove from heat.
  6. Add the egg and cheese mixture quickly, stirring to create a creamy sauce.
  7. Stir in the crumbled bacon, red pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper.
  8. Garnish with parsley and serve hot.

Notes

  • For a vegetarian version, you can omit turkey bacon and add extra vegetables.
  • Feel free to adjust the amount of red pepper flakes according to your spice preference.
