  • 4 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook the macaroni according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
  2. In a large pot, melt the butter over medium heat.
  3. Add the flour, stirring constantly for about 2 minutes to form a roux.
  4. Slowly whisk in the milk, followed by the garlic powder, onion powder, and smoked paprika.

  7. Transfer the mac and cheese to a smoker-safe dish and smoke for an additional 30 minutes.
