Salmon Sushi Bake

  • 1 pound sushi rice
  • 1 pound salmon fillets
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese
  • 1/4 cup green onions, chopped
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon furikake seasoning
  • 1 sheet nori, cut into strips
  • 1 teaspoon wasabi, optional

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the sushi rice according to package instructions.
  3. In a bowl, mix the cooked rice with soy sauce and sesame oil.
  4. Spread the rice mixture into a baking dish.
  5. In another bowl, combine the salmon, cream cheese, green onions, and black pepper.
  6. Spread the salmon mixture over the rice.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the salmon is cooked through.
  8. Garnish with furikake and nori strips before serving.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add avocado or cucumber rolls on the side.
  • Optional: drizzle with sriracha for a spicy kick.
