Mushroom Lasagna

A rich and comforting mushroom lasagna recipe that will satisfy your cravings.

  • 9 sheets lasagna noodles
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 pound mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups ricotta cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 3 cups marinara sauce
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the lasagna noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add mushrooms, salt, and pepper; sauté until softened, about 5 minutes.
  4. Add garlic and cook for an additional minute.
  5. In a bowl, mix ricotta cheese and egg until well combined.
  6. In a baking dish, spread a layer of marinara sauce, followed by three lasagna noodles.
  7. Spoon half of the ricotta mixture over the noodles, followed by half of the sautéed mushrooms and a third of the mozzarella cheese.
  8. Repeat the layers, finishing with the remaining maranara sauce, mozzarella, and Parmesan cheese on top.
  9. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for another 15 minutes until bubbly and golden.
  10. Let it cool for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • Allow the lasagna to cool for a few minutes to set before serving.
  • For a vegetarian option, you can add spinach or other vegetables.
