  • 1 pound Italian sausage
  • 12 ounces penne pasta
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (14.5 ounces) diced tomatoes
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, cook the penne pasta according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
  2. In the same pot, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and cook until translucent.
  3. Add the minced garlic and Italian sausage to the pot and cook until the sausage is browned.
  4. Stir in the diced tomatoes and Italian seasoning, and season with salt and pepper. Simmer for 5-10 minutes.
  5. Add the cooked penne to the sauce and mix well.
  6. Serve with grated Parmesan cheese on top.
