Heavenly Red Velvet Cinnamon Rolls

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tablespoon red food coloring
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, combine buttermilk, melted butter, egg, food coloring, and vanilla extract.
  4. Combine the wet and dry ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  5. Roll the dough out on a floured surface, spreading butter, sugar, and cinnamon mixture on top.
  6. Roll it up tightly, slice into rolls, and place in a greased baking dish.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Prepare frosting by mixing cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
  9. Frost the rolls while warm and serve.
