German Chocolate Poke Cake is a deliciously indulgent dessert that combines rich chocolate flavors with a creamy coconut-pecan frosting. Perfect for family gatherings or a sweet treat!

  • 1 box German chocolate cake mix
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/2 cup shredded coconut
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the cake mix, water, oil, and eggs. Mix until smooth.
  3. Pour the batter into a greased baking pan and bake for 30-35 minutes.
  4. Once done, let the cake cool for 10 minutes before poking holes all over the surface using a fork.
  5. In a separate bowl, mix the sweetened condensed milk with the shredded coconut and chopped pecans. Pour this mixture over the top of the cake.
  6. Refrigerate the cake for at least 2 hours.
  7. Before serving, whip the heavy cream with powdered sugar until stiff peaks form and spread over the top of the chilled cake.

Notes

  • For best results, refrigerate overnight to allow flavors to meld.
