French Onion Chicken Orzo Casserole

  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
  • 4 strips turkey bacon, cooked and chopped
  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • 3 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup shredded cheese, such as Gruyere
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and sauté the onions until caramelized.
  3. In a large bowl, combine the cooked orzo, shredded chicken, chopped turkey bacon, caramelized onions, chicken broth, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  4. Pour the mixture into a baking dish and top with shredded cheese.
  5. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
