- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup almond extract
- 1 can (21 oz) cherry pie filling
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, mix flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- Add in the softened butter and almond extract, mixing until crumbly.
- Press half of the mixture into the bottom of a greased baking dish.
- Spread the cherry pie filling over the crust.
- Crumble the remaining mixture on top of the cherry filling.
