  • 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 cup caramel sauce
  • 1 cup toffee bits

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease two 9-inch round cake pans.
  2. In a large bowl, mix flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Add eggs, milk, oil, and vanilla, and mix until smooth.
  4. Gradually stir in boiling water until well combined.
  5. Fold in chocolate chips, then divide batter between the prepared pans.
  6. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Let cakes cool before removing from pans.
  8. Layer cakes with caramel sauce and toffee bits in between and on top.

Notes

  • Use high-quality cocoa powder for a richer flavor.
  • For additional texture, sprinkle more toffee bits on top of the cake.
