An indulgent twist on traditional fasolada, featuring creamy textures and spicy flavors enhanced by turkey bacon and chicken ham.

  • 1 cup white beans
  • 4 slices turkey bacon
  • 1 cup chicken ham, diced
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can diced tomatoes
  • 4 cups vegetable broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions

  1. In a pot, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add turkey bacon and cook until crispy.
  2. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, sauté until softened.
  3. Stir in the diced tomatoes and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
  4. Add the white beans and vegetable broth, bring to a boil.
  5. Reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes.
  6. Mix in the heavy cream and red pepper flakes, and season with salt and pepper.
  7. Simmer for an additional 10 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • For a vegetarian option, omit turkey bacon and chicken ham.
  • Adjust the level of spiciness by varying the amount of red pepper flakes.
