  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×9 inch baking pan.
  2. In a bowl, mix together flour, cocoa powder, and salt.
  3. In a separate bowl, melt the butter and mix with granulated sugar until combined.
  4. Add in the eggs and vanilla extract, then stir in the dry ingredients.
  5. In another bowl, beat the cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth, then add the egg and vanilla extract.
  6. Pour half of the brownie batter into the prepared pan, then spread the cheesecake layer over it, followed by the remaining brownie batter.
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  8. Let cool before slicing into squares.
