Creamy Baked Mac and Cheese

A delicious creamy baked mac and cheese recipe featuring turkey bacon and chicken ham, perfect for a comforting meal.

  • 1 pound elbow macaroni
  • 4 ounces turkey bacon, chopped
  • 4 ounces chicken ham, diced
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 4 cups milk
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook the elbow macaroni according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
  3. In a large skillet, cook the turkey bacon until crispy, then add the chicken ham and sauté for a few more minutes.
  4. In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the flour and cook for 1 minute.
  5. Gradually whisk in the milk, stirring constantly until the mixture thickens.
  6. Remove from heat and stir in the mustard, cheddar cheese, parmesan cheese, salt, pepper, and paprika.
  7. Combine the macaroni, cheesy sauce, and cooked meats in a large bowl.
  8. Pour the mixture into a greased baking dish and bake for 25-30 minutes until bubbly and golden.

Notes

  • For a crispy top, sprinkle additional cheese on the top before baking.
  • Feel free to add breadcrumbs on top for extra crunch.
