A delicious and comforting Cottage Pie recipe with a twist, featuring turkey bacon for a flavorful touch.

  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 4 strips turkey bacon
  • 1 cup carrots, diced
  • 1 cup peas
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 cups mashed potatoes
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a skillet, cook turkey bacon until crisp, then remove and crumble.
  3. In the same skillet, heat olive oil and add ground turkey, cooking until browned.
  4. Add diced carrots and peas, and stir in the beef broth and Worcestershire sauce.
  5. Season with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper, then mix in the crumbled bacon.
  6. Transfer the turkey mixture to a baking dish and top with mashed potatoes.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the top is golden.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add cheese on top of the mashed potatoes before baking.
  • This dish can be made ahead of time and stored in the fridge.
