Classic Cinnamon Swirl Banana Bread

A delightful banana bread that combines the rich flavors of cinnamon with ripe bananas, perfect for breakfast or a snack.

  • 3 ripe bananas
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • pinch of salt
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork until smooth.
  3. Stir in the melted butter into the bananas.
  4. Add the baking soda and salt, mix thoroughly.
  5. Mix in the sugar, egg, and vanilla extract.
  6. Finally, mix in the flour until just incorporated.
  7. In a separate bowl, combine the cinnamon and brown sugar.
  8. Pour half of the batter into a greased loaf pan, sprinkle with half of the cinnamon sugar mixture, then add the rest of the batter and top with the remaining cinnamon mixture.
  9. Bake for 60-65 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  10. Let it cool before slicing.
