- 1 cup chopped onion
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups elbow macaroni
- 1 can diced tomatoes (14.5 ounces)
- 1 can tomato sauce (15 ounces)
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- Salt to taste
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
