8 ounces elbow macaroni
1 cup cashews
1 cup nutritional yeast
1 tablespoon garlic powder
1 tablespoon onion powder
1 teaspoon turmeric
1 cup almond milk
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Cook the elbow macaroni according to package instructions, then drain.
In a blender, combine cashews, nutritional yeast, garlic powder, onion powder, turmeric, almond milk, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper. Blend until smooth.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked macaroni and cheese sauce, stirring until well coated.
Transfer the mixture into a baking dish and spread evenly.
Bake for 20-25 minutes, until bubbly and golden on top.
Let cool slightly before serving.
