  • 2 cups saltine crackers
  • 2 cups chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and arrange the saltine crackers in a single layer.
  3. In a saucepan, melt the butter and brown sugar over medium heat, stirring until bubbly.
  4. Pour the mixture over the crackers and spread evenly.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 5-7 minutes until bubbly.
  6. Remove from the oven and immediately sprinkle with chocolate chips.
  7. Let the chocolate soften for a few minutes, then spread it evenly across the top.
  8. Sprinkle with chopped nuts if desired, then let it cool completely before breaking into pieces.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, you can add a sprinkle of sea salt on top of the chocolate layer.
