Cheesy Hamburger Potato Casserole

A delicious and comforting cheesy hamburger potato casserole that is easy to make and perfect for family dinners.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 4 cups potatoes, thinly sliced
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Drain excess fat.
  3. In a large bowl, mix the cream of mushroom soup, milk, onion powder, and garlic powder.
  4. Layer half of the sliced potatoes in a greased baking dish.
  5. Add half of the cooked ground beef and half of the soup mixture over the potatoes.
  6. Sprinkle half of the cheddar cheese on top.
  7. Repeat layering with the remaining potatoes, ground beef, soup mixture, and cheese.
  8. Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 1 hour.
  9. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender and cheese is bubbly.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, you can add cooked bacon or diced bell peppers.
  • This dish can be prepared ahead of time and baked just before serving.
