Cantonese Chow Mein

A simple and delicious Cantonese Chow Mein recipe made with turkey bacon and beef.

  • 200 grams turkey bacon
  • 300 grams beef, thinly sliced
  • 150 grams chow mein noodles
  • 1 cup bean sprouts
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. Cook the noodles according to package instructions and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat vegetable oil over medium heat.
  3. Add garlic, onion, and bell pepper, stir-frying until soft.
  4. Add turkey bacon and beef, cooking until browned.
  5. Add bean sprouts, cooked noodles, soy sauce, oyster sauce, and sesame oil; toss well.
  6. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until heated through, then serve immediately.

Notes

  • For added heat, consider adding chopped chili peppers.
  • Feel free to substitute the beef with chicken or shrimp.
