This Beijing Beef recipe combines tender beef with crispy vegetables in a savory sauce, perfect for a delicious meal.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound beef sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup bell peppers, sliced
  • 1 cup onion, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup water

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine beef with soy sauce and cornstarch. Marinate for 15 minutes.
  2. In a large pan, heat oil over medium heat. Add beef and cook until browned.
  3. Remove beef and set aside. In the same pan, stir-fry onions, bell peppers, garlic, and ginger.
  4. Add beef back to the pan with sugar and water. Cook for another 5 minutes until well combined.
  5. Serve hot over rice or noodles.
