1 tablespoon sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1 packet active dry yeast
1 cup warm water
1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped
2 tablespoons olive oil
Instructions
In a mixing bowl, combine the warm water and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes.
Add sugar, salt, olive oil, and chopped basil to the mixture.
Gradually add flour, mixing until a dough forms.
Knead the dough for 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise for 1 hour.
Punch down the dough, shape it into a loaf, and place it in a greased loaf pan.
