  • 3 pounds chuck roast
  • 1 cup soy sauce
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup rice vinegar
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, grated
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1/4 cup green onions, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 300°F (150°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix soy sauce, brown sugar, rice vinegar, garlic, ginger, and sesame oil.
  3. Place the chuck roast in a baking dish and pour the marinade over it.
  4. Cover the dish with foil and bake for 3-4 hours, until the meat is tender.
  5. Remove the foil in the last 30 minutes to allow the roast to caramelize.
  6. Let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
